Our Comprehensive Inspection Process

At Brownopto, quality control is a crucial part of the production process. In order to ensure that each TFT display module meets the highest quality standards, we have implemented a comprehensive and strict inspection process. Here are the eight key inspection methods we perform during the production process:

  • Visual inspection

    Surface Quality, Frame, Connectors, Labeling, Uniformity, and Dimensions are thoroughly inspected for defects, integrity, and compliance.

  • Electrical Testing

    It's a crucial part of our comprehensive inspection process, where we test for various electrical parameters to ensure the product meets required specifications. Any defects or abnormalities found are addressed before shipment.

  • Functional Testing

    It's an important step in our comprehensive inspection process, where we conduct various tests to ensure the product meets required specifications and performs as intended. Any issues found are addressed before shipment to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Optical Performance Testing

    We use specialized equipment to test visual performance, focusing on appearance, optics, and compliance with standards. This ensures our products meet optical performance standards and exceed customer expectations.

  • Environmental Reliability Testing

    Environmental Reliability Testing ensures our TFT displays perform reliably in various conditions, meeting standards and addressing any issues found.

  • Datasheet Verification

    Datasheet Verification is a critical step in our inspection process. It ensures the accuracy and completeness of product information, providing reliable and transparent specifications for our customers.

Our Reliability Testing Process

We rigorously apply these testing measures to all our products prior to shipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. In addition to the outlined tests, certain displays may undergo supplementary quality assurance processes tailored to their specific requirements and intended applications. These additional steps are designed to further enhance the durability and robustness of our products before they are shipped to our customers.

  • High temperature storage

    High Temp Storage Test: 85±3°C for 1000 hours at ≤45% RH, restored at 25°C for 2 hours, followed by a non-operation check. Performed per IEC60068-2-2 and GB2423.2.

  • Low temperature storage

    Low Temp Storage Test: -40±3°C for 1000 hours, restored at 25°C for 2 hours, followed by a non-operation check. Performed per IEC60068-2-1 and GB2423.1.

  • High temperature operation

    High Temp Test: 85±3°C for 1000 hours, restored at 25°C for 2 hours, followed by an operation check. Performed per IEC60068-2-2 and GB2423.2.

  • Low temperature operation

    Low Temp Test: -30±3°C for 1000 hours, restored at 25°C for 2 hours, followed by an operation check. Performed per IEC60068-2-1 and GB2423.1.

  • High Temperature &Humidity Operation

    High Temp & Humidity Test: 85±2°C and 85±2%RH for 1000 hours, followed by a 2-hour rest at room temp before functionality check. Performed per IEC60068-2-78 and GB/T2423.3.

  • Thermal shock resistance

    Thermal Shock Test: -40°C/30min, +85°C/5min, 1000 cycles, non-operational, per IEC60068-2-14 and GB2423.22.

  • ESD(Electrostatic Discharge Test)

    ESD Test: C=150pF, R=330Ω, 5-point surface contact ±8kV, air ±15kV, 5 times each. Performed per IEC61000-4-2 and GB/T17626.2.

  • Mechanical Shock Test

    Mechanical Shock Test: Half Sine Wave, 100G for 6msec, ±X, ±Y, ±Z, 3 times each, powered off. Performed per IEC 60068-2-27-2008 and GB/T 2423.5.

  • Vibration Test

    Vibration Test: 8-33.3 Hz, 1.3mm amplitude, 29.4 m/s², 15 min sweeps. 2 hrs X and Z, 4 hrs Y, non-operational. Performed per IEC60068-2-6 and GB/T2423.10.

  • Salt Spray Test

    Salt Spray Test: 35°C, brine specific gravity 1.020~1.040, pH 6.5~7.2, NaCl 5%±1%, 24 hrs spray. Performed per IEC60068-2-6 and GB/T2423.1.

Our Inspection Equipment

Our quality inspection equipment includes six fully automated production lines, each equipped with online particle AOI inspection equipment and automatic LCM defect AOI inspection systems. These devices utilize high-resolution imaging technology and advanced image processing algorithms to accurately detect small particles and pressure marks on the surface of the product, including those from FPC/IC bonding. They also achieve 100% inspection of particle quantity and positional deviation, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality. Through the use of these advanced devices, we can guarantee the quality and reliability of our products, providing our customers with dependable products.

Our Inspection Equipment

BONDING AOI

Our inspection equipment includes six fully automated production lines with online particle AOI and automatic LCM defect AOI systems. These advanced devices accurately detect small particles and pressure marks on the product surface, achieving 100% inspection of particle quantity and positional deviation for all COG and FOG products. This ensures the highest quality standards for our products.

LCM DEFECT AOI INSPECTION

Our AOI inspection equipment is designed to replace manual inspection, eliminating the impact of human fatigue and significantly reducing the likelihood of human error. After undergoing AOI testing, our products have a functional failure rate of less than 300 PPM, greatly improving product quality. Our systems can accurately detect various defects, including point defects (bright or dark spots) with a size of 5μm, foreign object defects with a size of 50μm, 2% detection accuracy for Mura defects on gray screens, and ±0.0002 accuracy for low contrast color defects. They can also detect a variety of other defects, such as line defects, backlit foreign objects, display abnormalities, edge light leakage, color temperature deviation, and various types of Mura defects.
